Position Overview:

The Banquet Server plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service during various events. This position involves preparing and dismantling event setups, managing food and beverage service, and ensuring a memorable experience for all guests. The ideal candidate will excel in anticipating guest needs and fostering positive relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of event menu items to provide accurate information to guests.
  • Prepare and dismantle banquet setups efficiently.
  • Manage coffee breaks, receptions, buffets, and plated service with attention to detail.
  • Adhere to the established sequence of service for all guests.
  • Serve beverages, including coffee, tea, cocktails, and wine, with professionalism.
  • Deliver plated meals and passed hors d'oeuvres with care.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction throughout all events.
  • Accommodate special requests from guests whenever feasible.
  • Maintain cleanliness by clearing tables of used items.
  • Compile consumption reports as needed.
  • Polish and set up dining ware and service items.
  • Manage linen inventory and maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Set up and manage trash and recycling stations.
  • Stock condiments and maintain side stations.
  • Ensure beverage stations are well-maintained and stocked.
  • Comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Verify that tables are properly set before food delivery.
  • Confirm accuracy and presentation of orders before serving.
  • Maintain professional communication with all team members.
  • Recognize and appreciate the contributions of colleagues.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss service improvements and special events.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Be knowledgeable about property services and amenities to assist guests effectively.
  • Guide guests to various locations within the property.
  • Address guest complaints following established procedures.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture that encourages team collaboration.
  • Engage in regular team meetings to ensure alignment on service standards.
  • Exhibit a welcoming demeanor and positive attitude towards all guests.
  • Embrace and embody the mission and values of Hard Rock International.
  • Proactively offer assistance throughout the venue.
  • Uphold ethical standards to protect the Hard Rock brand.
  • Participate in sustainability initiatives.
  • Perform duties in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors to ensure high standards are met.
  • Coordinate with other departments as necessary.
  • Present a professional image to all stakeholders.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding guest and company information.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred secondary school education or equivalent experience in service roles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Experience in food and beverage service within a hospitality environment is advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid Food Handlers Card and relevant licenses is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
