We are seeking a skilled Monitor Technician to join our team at Asante. As a Monitor Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring, documenting, and interpreting cardiac rhythms and/or hemodynamic lines for assigned patients on the unit under the direction of the RN, LPN, Physician or Physician Assistant.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and document cardiac rhythms and/or hemodynamic lines for assigned patients
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and/or hemodynamic lines for assigned patients
- Document and report EKG abnormalities, changes, or concerns to the appropriate staff member
- Perform unit clerical duties, transcription of orders, communication of information, and requisition of supplies and equipment
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience demonstrating ability to effectively communicate as needed for the position
- Successful Completion of a Basic Cardiac Rhythms course and/or the ability to pass Asante's Basic Cardiac Rhythms test
- Knowledge of medical terminology (through education or experience in a health care setting), preferred
- Successful completion of an Advanced Cardiac Rhythms course, preferred
