Your Role

As a member of the global controls team, you will engage with dedicated experts and pioneers in the data center sector. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing training and support to internal clients and stakeholders in the design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning, and operation of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS).
  • Offering technical assistance throughout the data center lifecycle.
  • Reviewing maintenance outcomes for BMS and EPMS and implementing necessary resolutions.
  • Developing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and levels of effort for BMS and EPMS initiatives requested by stakeholders.
  • Overseeing the execution of BMS and EPMS enhancement projects within AWS data centers.
  • Participating in procurement activities, including requests for quotations and vendor proposal evaluations.
  • Being part of the AWS global on-call roster to provide immediate technical support for BMS and EPMS in operational data centers.
  • Attending project meetings, coordinating with project leaders, and regularly updating Controls and stakeholder management.
  • Supporting commissioning activities related to Controls projects in data centers.
  • Reviewing and refining controls sequences of operation and providing feedback to design teams.
  • Developing and adjusting controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces.
  • Managing multiple stakeholder deliverables and navigating complex situations.
  • Financially overseeing BMS and EPMS service contracts.
  • Conducting regular visits to operational data centers to troubleshoot issues, engage with clients, and supervise vendor compliance with project scopes and local regulations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, along with 5+ years of relevant controls experience, or 10+ years of relevant controls experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of experience with industrial controls in critical environments.
  • 4+ years of project or vendor management experience related to construction and project execution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Controls/Automation).
  • Experience with HVAC Controls or Electrical SCADA systems.
  • Understanding of engineering documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Experience in designing data centers or critical MEP infrastructure.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Prior experience with AWS/Amazon.
