Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Analyst to join our team at Levy Group of Companies. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for conducting chemical and physical laboratory tests, analyzing test data, and providing data analysis and interpretation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare samples for analysis and perform chemical and physical testing to determine strength, stability, chemical content, and other characteristics.
  • Set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for tests, research, or process control.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, including ICP and XRF, and calibrate equipment as needed.
  • Enter information into computer systems and provide data analysis and interpretation.
  • Plot data on control charts and generate reports and maintain records.
  • Perform other projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in chemical technology or applied sciences (physics, mathematics, engineering, natural sciences) or equivalent.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods of time and lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and stockpiles.
  • Ability and willingness to work with hazardous chemicals (i.e. strong acids and bases).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and LIMS Systems.
  • Knowledge of XRF and ICP operation.
  • Exposure to the glass industry a plus.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's License and excellent driving record.
