Private Equity Investment Associate

Role Summary:
The Private Equity Associate will play a pivotal role across various sectors of the private equity landscape, engaging in both manager and fund evaluations for our advisory services, as well as conducting due diligence for our asset management divisions, including co-investments and secondary market practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Research team to identify and conduct thorough due diligence on selected private equity fund managers.
- Analyze Private Placement Memorandums (PPMs), financial statements, and investment performance metrics.
- Evaluate financial analyses provided by target fund managers, including investment track records, and perform valuation assessments on private entities using diverse metrics.
- Review marketing materials and supporting documentation from prospective fund managers to pinpoint critical value drivers and areas requiring further scrutiny.
- Conduct reference checks and personal interviews as part of the manager evaluation process.
- Present findings and recommendations to the investment team and the Firm's Investment Committee.
- Monitor the performance of existing fund managers and their underlying portfolio companies, preparing for and participating in regular meetings and ongoing due diligence efforts.
Co-Investment and Secondary Market Responsibilities:
- Source, screen, and perform due diligence on private equity secondary and direct co-investment opportunities.
- Engage with fund managers and portfolio company management teams to conduct comprehensive portfolio and asset-level assessments.
- Execute quantitative and qualitative research, along with financial modeling and analysis across various investment stages, industries, and geographical locations.
- Collaborate with external parties, including fund managers and investment bankers, as well as internal teams, to conduct due diligence and identify new investment opportunities.
- Prepare and present due diligence documentation and investment committee reports.
- Formulate and articulate opinions on diverse investment opportunities, effectively communicating findings both verbally and in writing, while defending positions in team discussions, including investment committee meetings.
- Assist in the negotiation and coordination of deal closure and structuring processes, along with post-investment monitoring.
Qualifications:
- Strong academic credentials, including university degree and GPA.
- 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or private equity.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
- Exceptional quantitative abilities, including financial modeling and analytical skills for evaluating investment opportunities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of risk/reward dynamics and sound investment judgment.
- Self-motivated with a creative approach to problem-solving and research.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Compensation: Salary range is $100,000 - $110,000, with actual pay dependent on job-related factors such as location, education, skills, and experience. This range does not encompass benefits or other potential compensation forms.
