Cook Position at NANA Regional Corporation

Located in a K-12 school, this Cook role performs a variety of tasks in a commercial kitchen, storeroom, dining, or serving area. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Wash objects by hand or with cleaning equipment, and clean dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
  • Food Preparation and Serving: Maintain products at certain levels in preparation, serving, or storage areas, and stock storage areas with various products.
  • General Cleaning: Clean, sweep, wipe down, and remove garbage from assigned areas, and set up or break down tables, snack bars, display cases, and serving lines.
  • Assistance and Coordination: Assist cooks and others as needed, and coordinate one's own activities with others.
  • Food Preparation: May occasionally prepare food or cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, meats, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Requirements: Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent, and at least one year of work experience or documented vocational training sufficient to demonstrate a knowledge of cleaning equipment, food preparation, and general cleaning processes.
