Radiologic Technologist

ZipRecruiter is currently seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Imaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a variety of imaging procedures to provide critical diagnostic information.
- Operate advanced nuclear medicine equipment to generate accurate diagnostic results.
- Monitor and document the handling of radioactive materials to ensure safety and compliance.
- Prepare and administer radioactive doses for patient procedures.
- Maintain rigorous quality control standards for all imaging equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians to enhance imaging quality and assist in procedures.
- Ensure thorough documentation of patient records and examination data.
- Consult with patients to gather comprehensive clinical histories.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives as directed by management.
- Schedule and coordinate imaging cases to optimize workflow.
- Educate and supervise students during their rotation in Nuclear Medicine.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure proper functioning before seeking external service.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required by departmental needs.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program is required.
- Proven experience in radiation safety and protection is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of Nuclear Medicine instrumentation and procedures is necessary.
Licenses and Certifications
- NJDEP License in Nuclear Medicine Technology is required upon hire.
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required upon hire.
- Certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) is required upon hire.
- NJDEP Limited CT Fusion License must be obtained within one year.
Work Schedule
- Full-time position with a standard schedule of Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5:30 PM, with no weekend shifts.
