As a vital member of the Summit Health team, the X-Ray Tech is entrusted with ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety during imaging procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Management: Prepare patients for imaging procedures, providing clear instructions to enhance cooperation and reduce anxiety.
- Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate CR/Digital X-ray systems and other imaging devices.
- Diagnostic Procedures: Conduct Bone Density examinations and ensure accurate documentation of patient history and potential risk factors.
- Image Quality Assurance: Produce high-quality diagnostic images through precise positioning and technique, while adhering to infection control standards.
- Quality Control: Perform routine QA/QC testing as mandated by regulatory standards.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Operational Management: Oversee daily radiology operations, manage patient appointments, and maintain an organized work environment.
- Training and Development: Assist in orienting new staff and implementing quality control measures.
- Completion of a vocational/technical program; an Associate's degree is preferred.
- 0-1 years of relevant experience; ARRT certification and BLS certification are required.
- Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Familiarity with standard office equipment and technology is advantageous.
