KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist members visiting the credit union by addressing inquiries and providing support.
  • Promote and sell products and services directly to members.
  • Establish, maintain, and close various financial savings accounts within set guidelines.
  • Issue debit and pre-paid cards while actively promoting UniWyo offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with Credit Union policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate new business development by being knowledgeable about all products and services, including their rates and terms.

Perform a variety of member transactions, including:

  • Accepting deposits and loan payments.
  • Assisting members with withdrawals, cash advances, transfers, and check-related transactions.
  • Balancing assigned teller drawer daily.
  • Monitoring cash security and maintaining confidentiality of member information.
  • Identifying potential sales opportunities for referral to the sales team.

Respond to member requests, concerns, and complaints regarding their accounts, ensuring timely and accurate communication. Direct members to appropriate departments based on their needs.

Handle correspondence-related tasks, including:

  • Compiling information and routing it to relevant departments.
  • Maintaining and updating files.
  • Entering data into electronic and manual systems.

Assist in training new service representatives and recommend improvements to existing policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy and Anti-Money Laundering Acts, monitoring for any illegal activities relevant to this role.

Perform additional duties as assigned or required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Understanding of applicable credit union regulations and policies.
  • Familiarity with customer service principles.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in using personal computers and various software applications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school diploma or GED AND one (1) year of relevant experience in accounting, banking, customer service, or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Willingness to work outside traditional hours as needed.
