Insurance Client Relations Specialist

The Insurance Service Advisor at PIIAC is tasked with fostering strong client relationships by addressing inquiries and concerns with efficiency and professionalism. This role involves daily interactions with clients, insurance providers, and colleagues while executing specific service and marketing initiatives.

- Assist current clients with policy updates, provide estimates, process payments, respond to inquiries, and supply necessary documentation.
- Handle incoming calls and correspondence regarding both new and existing insurance policies, including managing claims during regular and after-hours.
- Engage with prospective clients or support a producer to identify their needs, gather essential information, explore policy options, present alternatives, finalize and secure new coverage, cancel outdated policies, and negotiate with insurers as needed.
- Schedule appointments or client calls, or assist a producer in reviewing current policies, assessing liability limits and risks, exploring additional coverage needs, evaluating replacement costs, rounding out accounts, and securing renewals.
- Communicate with clients to provide comprehensive information about products and services, quote new business, manage renewals or cancellations, process payments, and supply requested documentation.
- Address product or service issues by clarifying client concerns, identifying the root cause, selecting and explaining the most effective solution, expediting corrections or adjustments, and following up to ensure resolution.
- Review audits or policies for accuracy and facilitate necessary corrections between clients and carriers.
- Maintain records of client interactions and transactions, documenting details of inquiries, comments, and actions taken in the agency management system.
- Collaborate with team members, mentor staff, provide expertise, answer questions, and participate in both formal and informal meetings as required.
- Possess the insurance license mandated by your state and have at least two years of experience in commercial lines insurance account management, along with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Exhibit strong knowledge of insurance products, rating and underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage and service assigned clients and prospects.
- Demonstrate a strong customer focus and excellent phone etiquette; possess strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as proficient math and reading abilities for calculations.
- Exhibit a sense of urgency, attention to detail, organizational skills, multitasking capabilities, and the ability to manage challenging situations with clients and resolve complex issues independently.
- Possess excellent time management skills with a personal accountability mindset, as well as proficiency in technology and computer systems, including agency management systems, rating tools, and navigation of carrier websites.
