Westside Family Healthcare Inc. is seeking a dynamic leader for the Finance and Accounting Department.
The Director of Finance and Accounting (DFA) will oversee all financial, accounting, payroll, and reporting functions. As a key member of the senior management team, the DFA will prepare presentations for the Board Finance Committee and lead daily financial operations while supervising the Accounting team.
The DFA will ensure that robust financial systems and procedures are in place to align with organizational goals. This role involves close collaboration with managers and their teams to enhance understanding of finance and accounting practices and to identify how the finance function can effectively support program operations.

Key Responsibilities of the Director of Finance and Accounting:
- Supervise the Finance and Accounting team.
- Collaborate with the CFO and staff to establish departmental objectives, including short- and long-term accounting initiatives in budgeting, profit analysis, accounting systems, financial reporting, and internal auditing.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Work alongside the CFO to create and prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and profit/loss statements, as well as conduct variance analysis, ratios, and investment assessments.
- Oversee the annual financial audit and any additional special audits.
- Direct the preparation of statistical data and reports for management and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management and the Board of Directors.
- Establish and maintain a grants management process to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
- A minimum of five years of accounting experience.
- Experience in all aspects of grant management and fund development.
- Prior experience in a non-profit organization.
