Chief Philanthropy Officer

The YMCA of Delaware is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Philanthropy to lead our fundraising efforts and develop strategic partnerships to support our mission. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for cultivating and stewarding relationships with major donors, developing and implementing fundraising campaigns, and working closely with our Chief Development Officer to achieve our annual giving goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve annual giving goals
Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors, including identifying, soliciting, and recognizing gifts
Collaborate with the Chief Development Officer to develop and implement fundraising campaigns, including annual giving, special events, and planned giving
Work closely with our Community Executive Directors to identify and pursue new funding opportunities
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including board members, donors, and community leaders
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of four years' experience in fundraising, with a focus on annual giving, special events, and major gifts
Proven track record of success in fundraising, including meeting or exceeding annual giving goals
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and other fundraising software
