Coastal Resilience Expert for Environmental Projects

We are seeking a highly skilled Coastal Resilience Expert to join our team at Integral Consulting Inc. in the Marine, Coastal, Climate, and Technology business area. This role will involve supporting multiple clients and projects related to coastal resiliency, including climate change and sea level rise assessments, adaptation planning, and coastal process and hazard modeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct climate change, coastal impact assessments, and adaptation planning
- Perform oceanographic and earth system data synthesis and analysis, including geospatial analysis, empirical and numerical modeling
- Contribute to or run quantitative models and map results
- Work with stakeholders and clients to deliver technical work and client deliverables
Requirements
- Advanced degree in oceanography, ocean or coastal engineering, management, or other marine science field or 2+ years of experience in oceanography, climate, or coastal sciences
- 2+ years of professional experience in coastal hazards, sediment transport, and vulnerability assessments
- Experience in hazards and coastal flood risk management, nature-based solutions, and coastal ecosystem restoration for sea level rise adaptation and resilience
- Familiarity with coastal modeling and mapping, scripting languages (Python or MATLAB), CAD, and GIS
- Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
What We Offer
- Annual salary range: $75,000 - $90,000, based on experience
