About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Coastal Scientist to join our team at Integral Consulting Inc. As a key member of our Marine, Coastal, Climate, and Technology business area, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients and projects focused on coastal resilience, climate change, and sea level rise assessments.

Your primary responsibilities will include conducting climate change and coastal impact assessments, adaptation planning, and executing technical work and client deliverables. You will also contribute to or run quantitative models or mapping of results, work with stakeholders and clients, and execute technical work and client deliverables.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have an advanced degree in oceanography, ocean or coastal engineering, management, or other marine science field, or 2+ years of experience in oceanography, climate, or coastal sciences. You will also need to have experience in coastal hazards, sediment transport, and vulnerability assessments, as well as experience with nature-based solutions and coastal ecosystem restoration for sea level rise adaptation and resilience.

Additionally, you will need to have familiarity with coastal modeling and mapping, experience in scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB, and experience in CAD and/or GIS. You will also need to have strong quantitative and problem-solving skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a desire to grow both intellectually and professionally.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive annual salary range of $75,000 - $90,000, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including company-subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) participation with a company-match of 1% to 4% of annual compensation, company-paid life and short- and long-term disability, paid sick leave, paid vacation, and paid holidays.
