As a key member of the Global Products Group at Lam Research, you will contribute to the excellence in the design and engineering of our advanced etch and deposition products.

Your Role
In the position of Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be instrumental in supporting the pilot production factory for new products, as well as high-volume manufacturing operations. Your expertise in technology and engineering principles will be vital in overseeing the planning, development, and maintenance of manufacturing methods and processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Address and resolve technical, quality, and production challenges.
- Optimize manufacturing costs and standards to enhance Lam's commitment to innovation and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot product issues related to designs, materials, or processes.
- Design, develop, and implement safe and cost-effective complex equipment and assembly methods for all manufacturing phases.
- Define processes and methods for high-volume manufacturing, including operation method sheets, routing, and sequencing.
- Conduct virtual builds and create assembly sequences.
- Perform root cause investigations and recommend corrective actions for operational challenges, such as material variances and bottlenecks.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to reduce costs, enhance product quality, and minimize cycle time.
- Review and develop designs to improve manufacturability and assembly.
- Coordinate new product builds in pilot production while collaborating closely with manufacturing and product engineers.
- Create and release engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOM) through the Engineering Change Management process.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience; or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent experience.
- Proficient troubleshooting skills in electro/mechanical assemblies.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA).
- Familiarity with software applications such as CAD modeling, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), or Product Data Modeling (PDM) systems.
- Experience with Engineering Change Management processes and knowledge of Operation Method Sheets (OMS), process planning, and BOM management.

Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of semiconductor equipment and capital equipment manufacturing processes.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English.
- Statistical analysis skills, including statistical process control and data analysis in production settings.
- Understanding of Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA).
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders and influence both internal and external parties on technical matters.
