Specific Information


The Manufacturing Engineer plays a crucial role within the Analytical Instruments Group (AIG) Business Unit.

This division integrates extensive scientific knowledge, a collaborative environment, and rich resources to provide essential electronic failure analysis (EFA) equipment and systems, enabling our clients to meet their objectives efficiently and safely.

Your Impact


The selected candidate will assist in the design and production of electronic failure analysis equipment, focusing on existing electrical and mechanical components, subsystems, and product testing, while also leading various projects.

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the execution of the manufacturing process and enhancements throughout the entire assembly cycle.


Key Responsibilities


- Collaborate with fellow manufacturing engineers and cross-functional teams to develop electrical and mechanical systems and implement design optimization projects for radiation monitoring equipment.

- Engage with internal project teams, including quality, regulatory, R&D, operations, supplier/sourcing, manufacturing, marketing, and sales.

- Participate in all facets of automation installation, maintenance, and execution.

- Propose design enhancements based on the latest technical insights.

- Efficiently manage projects, coordinate contractors, and mentor technicians under the guidance of senior staff.

- Document project milestones and monitor future product development tasks.

- Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives and support all Lean and PPI projects.

- Assist in facility management and maintenance.

- Develop and support manufacturing process plans in line with technical contract requirements.

- Oversee manufacturing performance and cost control.

- Aid in technical documentation and procedures.

- Troubleshoot issues encountered during production.

- Analyze customer service challenges and propose design improvements.


Qualifications
Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

- Proven experience in a technical manufacturing setting (minimum of 2 years).
- Experience in transitioning new products to production.
- Familiarity with maintaining automation equipment.
- Experience in a regulated environment is preferred.

Skills and Abilities

- Proficient in AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Interest in collaborating across multiple fields to support product design and manufacturing, with proficiency in MRP and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of design processes and analysis techniques, including FEA, FMEA, Risk Analysis, and Tolerance Analysis.
- High self-discipline, motivation, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel (up to 5%).

The estimated salary range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
