Senior Environmental Engineering Leader

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is experiencing growth and is eager to enhance the services offered in our San Diego office. We are in search of a Senior Project Manager to spearhead and develop our Environmental Engineering Division. In this leadership role, you will establish a practice dedicated to delivering environmental engineering, permitting, and compliance solutions to both private and public sector clients across diverse markets such as manufacturing, mining, and energy.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and expand existing client services while pursuing new business opportunities;
- Manage projects effectively, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards;
- Mentor junior team members, fostering their professional growth;
- Provide strategic direction on a variety of environmental projects.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is between $136,000 and $242,000, commensurate with experience and location. Additionally, CEC provides overtime compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred);
- Possession of a professional license;
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in managing environmental projects, including remediation and brownfields;
- Proven success in client management and business development;
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations concerning air, water/wastewater, and solid waste;
- Experience in permitting and compliance;
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting programs (e.g., EPCRA, NPDES);
- Expertise in SPCC/SWPPP compliance.
