We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) Systems Engineer to join our team at AEVEX Aerospace. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing GNC systems and architectures for our aerospace programs.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Develop and implement algorithms for guidance, navigation, and control systems in line with project requirements.
- GNC Architecture: Design and implement GNC architectures considering all elements, including spacecraft, sensors, actuators, and algorithms.
- MDAO Techniques: Develop MDAO hardened models, tools, and processes to enable design exploration across a range of flight systems.
- System Integration: Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure system-wide integration and performance.
- Testing and Validation: Use simulation and analysis tools to verify GNC models and system performance under different operating conditions.
- System Engineering: Provide system engineering expertise in the development of GNC systems, ensuring a cohesive and efficient approach to the design and implementation process.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GNC systems during design, testing, and operational phases.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on dynamics and control.
- Experience: 8 or more years of experience in Guidance, Navigation & Control engineering or related technical experience.
- Skills: Proficiency with GNC simulation tools like MATLAB, Simulink, and related toolboxes; strong theoretical knowledge of classical and modern control theory, estimation, and filtering techniques; and experience with programming languages commonly used in trajectory optimization.
- Competitive Salary: $172,919 - $209,163 USD.
