Position Summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Mission Technologies Division (HII-MT) is on the lookout for a skilled individual to fill the role of Radar Systems RF Testing Specialist. This position involves executing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, as well as conducting cost and risk assessments, and analyzing supportability and effectiveness for comprehensive systems. The analyses encompass all facets of the total system product, including testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and sustainability. The specialist will effectively utilize testing assets to meet customer-driven objectives and will conduct functional and timeline analyses. A profound understanding of testing philosophies and methodologies within an agile testing environment is essential.

Essential Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or no experience with a Master's degree in a related field.
  • A keen interest in either Radar or Electronic Warfare System design and/or testing is required.
  • Responsibilities include RF chain analysis and performance evaluation of radar systems, alongside all aspects of test execution.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Warfare and Radar Signal Processing Techniques, Sensor System Integration and Testing, as well as Electronic Warfare and Radar Performance Analysis Tools such as MATLAB is necessary.
  • Hands-on experience in testing, integration, and verification support across laboratory facilities, requiring proficiency in algorithms, software, hardware, and networking.
  • Contribute to technical documentation by developing test planning, procedures, and reports for customer releases.
  • Assist technical and functional leadership in identifying potential risks.
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods is essential, with deployment durations typically ranging from two to three weeks.
  • Physical capability to bend, reach, stoop, and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability and willingness to work outdoors in challenging weather conditions.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance, with advanced security checks required.
  • Minimum of Secret clearance required to commence.
Physical Demands

This role may involve working in an office or industrial setting. Candidates should be capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variations. Lifting and moving materials should adhere to established guidelines for individual lifting.
