Radar Systems Test Engineer Job Description

Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Radar Systems Test Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

The Radar Systems Test Engineer will analyze systems at all levels of the total system product, including test, installation, operation, maintenance, and sustainability. The engineer will properly employ test assets in customer-driven test objectives, perform functional analysis and timeline analysis, and present a deep understanding of testing philosophies and methodologies within an agile test environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radar systems and a solid understanding of testing philosophies and methodologies. The candidate should be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The Radar Systems Test Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
  • Analyzing systems at all levels of the total system product, including test, installation, operation, maintenance, and sustainability
  • Properly employing test assets in customer-driven test objectives
  • Performing functional analysis and timeline analysis
  • Presenting a deep understanding of testing philosophies and methodologies within an agile test environment

The successful candidate will have a strong background in radar systems and a solid understanding of testing philosophies and methodologies. The candidate should be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
