About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Developmental Disabilities Specialist to join our team at Sevita. As a key member of our community-based services team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation: Develop and implement individualized programs that promote independence, socialization, and community integration for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Staff Training and Support: Provide training and support to facility and day program staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care and support.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of individual progress, including monthly documentation and progress notes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with facility and day program staff, families, and funding sources to ensure seamless communication and coordination of services.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with all regulatory, contractual, corporate, and legal requirements related to the provision of community-based services.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a human service-related field and one year of experience in direct service with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of ICF rules and regulations, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to build positive relationships with individuals and staff, strong customer service orientation, and a commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
