Nighttime Support Specialists.

The individuals we assist are striving for a life filled with confidence and independence, and it is our honor to support them in achieving their goals each day.

This role operates during the overnight hours (10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.) and requires flexibility to work some weekends. There is potential for additional hours as they become available, should you desire.



About Our Organization


Lutheran Services in Iowa has a rich history of serving children, adults, and families for over 150 years, making us one of Iowa's most trusted human services organizations.

Our Services for Individuals with Disabilities provide comprehensive care to individuals throughout the state, ranging from occasional respite care to 24/7 support in shared living environments or personalized one-on-one care through our hourly supported community living (SCL) program.


Your Role


As a Nighttime Support Specialist, you will offer essential support and assistance to individuals with disabilities and mental health needs in their residence during the overnight hours.

When all individuals in the home are asleep, Nighttime Support Specialists may also rest in a designated neutral area of the residence.


Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess either a high school diploma or a GED. While experience working with Supported Community Living or individuals with disabilities is preferred, it is not mandatory.
