Job Title: Recreation Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team at Fairfax Behavioral Health. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic recreation services to our patients, promoting their physical and psychosocial well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Design and lead recreational activities that promote socialization, relaxation, and stress reduction.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on coping skills, stress management, and healthy lifestyle habits.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Therapy or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in recreational therapy or a related field.
  • Current Washington State CTRS registration or eligibility to sit for certification.
  • CPR, Handle with Care, Verbal De-Escalation, and first aid certification.
