Recreational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Recreational Therapist to join our team at Fairfax Behavioral Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based recreational therapy services to our patients.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote physical and psychosocial functioning.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure seamless integration of recreational therapy services into patient care plans.
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients to engage in recreational activities, promoting socialization, relaxation, and stress reduction.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop targeted interventions.
- Document patient progress and outcomes, contributing to the overall evaluation of treatment effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or a related field.
- Two years of experience in recreational therapy, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
- Current Washington State CTRS registration or eligibility to sit for certification.
- Ability to obtain CPR, Handle with Care, Verbal De-Escalation, and first aid certification.
