Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to join our team at Fairfax Behavioral Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary treatment team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing activity services that promote physical and psychosocial functioning in our inpatient population.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs and interests of patients
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure continuity of care and effective patient outcomes
  • Provide therapeutic recreation services that promote physical and psychosocial functioning
  • Document patient progress and outcomes in accordance with facility policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or Leisure Studies
  • Current Washington State CTRS registration or eligibility to sit for certification
  • Two years of related experience in psychiatric patient care
  • CPR, Handle with Care, Verbal De-Escalation, and first aid certification
