Medical Billing & Coding Documentation Specialist

Job Type: Full Time

Job Summary:

The Medical Billing & Coding Documentation Specialist is responsible for managing the financial administration of operational duties, including billing and coding, financial coordination, and administrative support. As the billing coordinator, this role requires a wide range of general administrative duties to conduct billing, financial coordination, and other related activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and report trends with Billing & Coding Manager and entries in QuickBooks on assigned patient accounts
  • Experience and knowledge of healthcare and medical terminology, including CPT, ICD9/ICD10 codes and use of modifiers
  • Maintain all files and clinic billing documents, invoicing, and organizing data entry for Medical Billers
  • Enter data for direct care staff payroll related to billing documentation and Productivity Reports

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS Degree required
  • A minimum of 2 years of recent or previous Healthcare Administrative support experience
  • One of the following certifications is required: (CPC), (CPBTM), (CPC-H), (CPMA), (CPCO TM), (CDEO)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written, communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills willing to work directly with staff
  • Bilingual a plus in: Haitian Creole, Portuguese Creole, Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, or Cambodian
