Job Summary:
NavitsPartners is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient care tasks, including vital sign collection, medication administration, and assisting with procedures.
- Collect and process specimens, conduct point-of-care testing, and assist physicians with various procedures.
- Provide administrative support, including managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and handling insurance updates.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control policies and safety standards.
- Assist with patient education, providing information on medical procedures, treatments, and medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Completion of an approved Medical Assistant certificate course
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required (AHA)
- Certified Medical Assistant preferred
Preferred Skills:
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Ability to communicate effectively with multicultural and language-deficient patients
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Proficient in medical terminology and HIPAA guidelines
