Job Title: Energy, Equity, and Environmental Justice Program Analyst

The Building People, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Energy, Equity, and Environmental Justice Program Analyst to support the Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE). As a key member of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Team, you will play a critical role in analyzing current Diversity and Inclusion strategies and developing a new EEJ strategic plan to promote inclusive and targeted stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to coordinate Energy, Equity, and Environmental Justice objectives and programs for IEDO, leveraging existing work to maximize impact.
  • Collaborate with IEDO Technical Programs to integrate EEEJ into program activities and identify opportunities for synergy.
  • Engage with key EEEJ stakeholders and lead IEDO's engagement efforts.
  • Analyze and interpret DOE, EERE, and Administration EEEJ guidance and propose implementation strategies.
  • Stay current with EEEJ news and trainings, summarizing and disseminating information to IEDO staff.
  • Participate in meetings with IEDO leaders and other stakeholders to advance EEEJ objectives.
  • Develop and maintain supporting documentation, including Stakeholder Engagement Plans, Standard Operating Procedures, and guidelines for data cleaning and process documentation.
  • Support internal and external reporting requirements by preparing and delivering briefings and reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements:
  • Four (4) years' experience, with a Master's Degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.
  • Experience developing diversity and inclusion plans and communications strategies.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Energy industry knowledge and experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly skilled in analysis and data interpretation, with excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player approach and stakeholder engagement expertise.
