We are on the lookout for a highly qualified and driven Reporting and Analytics Executive to become a vital part of our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) division at RSM. This position is crucial for steering data-informed decision-making, delivering sophisticated analytics and insights, and acting as a client-focused business partner. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and mentorship to the Financial Data Analytics (FDA) team, emphasizing data integrity, financial insights, and client service across the organization. The ideal applicant will be a proactive self-starter with a robust technical foundation, adept at pinpointing and executing process enhancements to improve our reporting and analytics capabilities. Additionally, this leader will be tasked with building and nurturing an offshore team of financial analysts.

Key Responsibilities:

Client-Focused Business Partnership: (25% of time)

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to both internal and external clients, comprehending their requirements and offering customized analytics solutions.
  • Establish and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Effectively communicate intricate technical information to non-technical stakeholders in a straightforward manner.
  • Provide training and support to clients regarding the use of analytics tools and data interpretation.
Advanced Analytics and Reporting: (20% of time)
  • Lead the creation and presentation of comprehensive financial reports and dashboards that yield actionable insights.
  • Employ advanced analytics methodologies to scrutinize extensive datasets, identify trends, and produce business insights.
  • Guarantee the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports through thorough validation and testing.
  • Utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to convey data in an accessible and impactful format.
Technical Leadership: (20% of time)
  • Oversee the technical framework of the analytics and reporting infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with financial systems, IT, and data engineering teams to ensure robust data pipelines and integration processes.
  • Implement and maintain advanced analytics tools and platforms.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in analytics technologies and best practices.
Leadership and Team Development: (20% of time)
  • Recruit, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing analytics team in the US and USI.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
  • Encourage a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  • Promote continuous learning and professional development within the team.
Process Improvement: (10% of time)
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements within the reporting and analytics functions.
  • Implement best practices and standardized processes to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead initiatives to automate routine reporting tasks and streamline data workflows.
  • Monitor and assess the impact of process changes, making adjustments as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field - required.
  • Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional, CFA, Six Sigma) is preferred.
Experience:
  • 15-20 years of progressive experience in finance, analytics, or reporting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role - required.
  • Proven experience in a professional services environment is highly desirable - preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering advanced analytics solutions and driving business insights within an FP&A context - required.
Technical/Soft Skills:
  • Proficiency in financial data analysis and visualization tools - required.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and tools - required.
  • Proven ability to manage team members with technical skill sets and communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience - required.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment - required.
Leadership Skills:
  • Demonstrated success in influencing and engaging stakeholders, building collaborative relationships while managing conflicting priorities - required.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond positively to changing circumstances, seek and implement change to drive business improvement, and serve as a model of change - required.
