Senior Corporate Accounting Leader

Salary Range: $125,000-$150,000

The Corporate Accounting Manager plays a crucial role within the finance department, primarily focusing on the consolidation process and overseeing monthly and year-end financial closings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in public accounting and demonstrate proficiency in corporate accounting practices. Familiarity with real accounting scenarios is advantageous. This position is integral to the Corporate VP Finance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct monthly consolidation activities
  • Prepare and present financial statements
  • Oversee the monthly closing process
  • Manage the Loan schedule
  • Ensure accuracy in the general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements. Prepare adjusting journal entries for review and approval.
  • Collaborate with auditors and address inquiries related to financial statements and tax matters
  • Support the Accounting Team with various ad-hoc projects as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in public accounting
  • CPA certification is mandatory
  • Comprehensive understanding of GAAP Accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail in preparing schedules, including reconciliations
  • Proactive learner with a passion for problem-solving and tackling diverse challenges
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and take ownership of deliverables
  • Provide technical guidance to assigned entities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, encompassing both public and private sectors
  • Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements
