Position Overview: The Regional Security Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the implementation of physical security measures to safeguard our assets, including facilities, personnel, and infrastructure. This position emphasizes tactical readiness and responsiveness, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment that prioritizes top-tier security standards. This role requires full-time on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct physical security monitoring and response initiatives across regional Rocket Lab facilities.
  • Manage security systems such as CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection, ensuring their maintenance and enhancement.
  • Lead, train, and supervise Contract Security Officer teams to guarantee qualified 24/7 coverage.
  • Enforce physical security protocols, including policy compliance and reviews.
  • Assess security threats, coordinate responses, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Maintain security processes, including visitor management and launch operations.
  • Act as the regional liaison for the Global Security group, assisting in the rollout of new policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with various departments to promote a unified approach to security excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years in the security sector, or a high school diploma with 9+ years of relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years of direct management experience in the security field.
  • Proficient in digital tools, including Microsoft Office and security management software.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Experience in risk assessment, incident management, and conflict resolution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience with classified transportation and launch services.
  • Specialized training in emergency management, threat assessment, and first aid.
  • Background in military or law enforcement.
  • Experience in a startup environment.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Must be able to perform tasks requiring visual acuity and physical mobility.
  • Occasional exposure to environmental factors such as dust and noise.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 35 lbs unassisted.
