Job Summary

PrideStaff is seeking a highly skilled Office Administrator to join our team in Houston, TX. As a key member of our sales, recruiting, and placement team, you will be responsible for administrative, clerical, and light industrial recruitment and client development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming telephone calls and greet visitors
  • Screen applicant resumes and determine best fit for job opportunities
  • Conduct phone interviews, in-person interviews, and guide applicants through the onboarding process
  • Input candidate information into Bullhorn, our applicant tracking system
  • Audit employee time cards for accuracy
  • Ensure quality service by handling client and employee matters courteously, properly, and efficiently
  • Format resumes
  • Submit properly vetted and qualified candidates to clients
  • Schedule candidates for client interviews
  • Process employment verifications and documents in Bullhorn
  • Handle and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
  • Perform other related duties as deemed necessary by the Strategic-Partner
  • Conduct background and reference checks on potential employees
  • Make internal sales calls

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to type 40WPM
  • High level of computer literacy in Word, Excel, and email software
  • Experience in recruiting for light industrial and clerical positions highly preferred
  • Understanding of light industrial job roles and ability to read candidate resumes and match to open positions

Language Skills:

  • Must be able to communicate in English fluently in writing and verbally
  • Ability to speak and read/write Spanish a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and procedure manuals

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to make decisions of sound judgment according to company policy
  • Ability to deal with problems involving clients or employees
  • Ability to review candidate experience and qualifications and client job requirements to determine best fit
