Job Overview

Labor Solutions Professional is seeking a seasoned Director of Operations to oversee the entire manufacturing process of our client, a leading plastic injection molding company. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management within the plastics industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing operational policies and procedures to optimize production and operational workflows. They will lead and manage a team of operations managers and supervisors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

The Director of Operations will collaborate with the engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure product specifications and quality standards are met. They will monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

The role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, expertise in policy development, financial projections, and P&L management. The Director of Operations will ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize production and operational workflows.
  • Lead and manage a team of operations managers and supervisors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure product specifications and quality standards are met.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and manage budgets, financial projections, and P&L statements to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and customers to support operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management within the plastics industry.
  • Proven experience in policy development, financial projections, and P&L management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology used in plastic injection molding.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive operational improvements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for operations management.
