Job Title: Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at North Oaks Medical Center. As a key member of our Diagnostic Services department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary:

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures in accordance with established professional and departmental standards and procedures. This includes performing visual inspections of equipment, identifying problems, and communicating with the radiologist as necessary. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, ensuring patient confidentiality, and adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with established standards and procedures
  • Perform visual inspections of equipment and identify problems
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure patient confidentiality
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • Completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program
  • Credentialed in Vascular Testing from one of the accepted registries or will accept ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT eligible with one year sonography experience
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS), or Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography (RT(VS)) certification
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude
Working Conditions:

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, interacting with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, maintain accurate records, and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.

Physical Effort Required:

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer will be required to stand for long periods, lift patients, and push/pull equipment. The successful candidate will also be required to work in a variety of environments, including ultrasound suites and patient rooms.
