Cardiovascular Sonographer

Job Summary:

North Oaks Medical Center is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of complex technical, non-invasive cardiology and vascular tests, including echocardiography, stress testing, and vascular ultrasound.

Responsibilities:

• Perform echocardiography, stress testing, and vascular ultrasound procedures as ordered by physicians
• Prepare patients for tests by obtaining medical history and explaining procedures
• Maintain and calibrate equipment, reporting malfunctions to supervisors
• Provide training and support to department personnel
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and attend mandatory meetings

Requirements:

• Registered in specialty by ARDMS (American Registry of Medical Sonography)-RDCS or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International-RCS)
• Prefer two years clinical experience
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift frequently, and push occasionally
