Role Summary

The Sales Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the assigned Sales Representative within a specified territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quote Generation: Develop quotes for clients utilizing Salesforce, ensuring all pertinent information is gathered from the Sales Representative, including customer specifics, project details, and other essential data.
  • Order Management: After customer approval of a quote, convert it into a sales order, ensuring precise information transfer and providing necessary details for billing and shipping.
  • Contract Review: Examine contract documents submitted by clients, ensuring compliance with project requirements and that all sections are duly completed.
  • Bid Preparation: Assist in compiling bids for various projects, gathering necessary documentation and deadlines.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients and vendors regarding quotes and orders, and collaborate with vendors for pricing inquiries.
  • Customer Support: Be available for client inquiries through various communication channels, providing timely assistance and product information.
  • Presentation Assistance: Occasionally prepare materials for presentations and sales events.
  • Cross-Departmental Support: Collaborate with other departments, such as Logistics and Parts, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Database Management: Utilize Salesforce to manage accounts, contacts, and opportunities, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Document Organization: Maintain both physical and digital project files, ensuring all relevant materials are systematically organized.
  • Relationship Development: Foster positive relationships with clients, vendors, and team members to create a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving organization, with a proactive approach to learning.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative problem-solving mindset.

Working Conditions

  • Standard working hours with potential for overtime as necessary.
  • This position is primarily onsite.
