Position Summary:


The University of Oklahoma is seeking an Administrative and Finance Coordinator to provide essential support to our academic department. This role encompasses a variety of administrative and financial responsibilities, including accounting, financial analysis, payroll management, project coordination, and event planning.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee departmental financial accounts and ensure accurate reconciliation of monthly financial statements.
  • Prepare cost spending certification reports and monitor budget compliance.
  • Manage vendor setups and ensure proper invoice processing.
  • Conduct cash deposits into designated accounts and maintain grant administration.
  • Analyze financial procedures and propose enhancements for efficiency.
  • Serve as the payroll coordinator, managing time sheets and payroll entries.
  • Coordinate departmental projects requiring initiative and specialized knowledge.
  • Assist with personnel matters, including new employee onboarding and training.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as supply ordering, travel arrangements, and meeting coordination.
  • Support faculty with purchasing, travel, and funding requests.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related discipline.
Experience:
48 months of relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.

Skills:
Proficient in office procedures and accounting processes, with a strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word). Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing multiple projects and deadlines.
