Job Title: Quality Control Supervisor

At Jeeter, we're seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Supervisor to join our team in Hazel Park, MI. As a key member of our Quality Control department, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality products for our customers.

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Supervisor will report directly to the National Manager of Quality Control and will be responsible for leading a team of Quality Control Technicians and Leads. This role will involve cross-functional collaboration with departmental and corporate leadership to drive quality control operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise and lead a team of Quality Control Technicians and Leads, providing guidance, mentorship, and a positive work environment.
  2. Conduct internal audits and team meetings to monitor and improve employee performance, communicate expectations, and ensure alignment with organizational quality objectives.
  3. Support QC Leads with conducting performance reviews and monitoring KPIs to ensure compliance with cannabis regulations and internal specifications.
  4. Review and analyze data to identify quality- or compliance-related issues and communicate guidance to necessary parties.
  5. Work with QC personnel to drive nonconformance investigations and identify corrective actions.
  6. Identify opportunities for retraining, document updates, or process enhancements to contribute to error reduction and process improvements.
  7. Submit Deviation Requests, Nonconformance Reports, and Manufacturing Change Requests as needed.
  8. Support the National Manager of Quality Control with continuous improvement initiatives, including quality trials, new market expansions, or new product launches.
  9. Serve as a resource to new quality leaders, sharing insights and supporting the advancement of the national quality team.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Quality control or quality assurance experience in cannabis or a similarly regulated industry.
  • Supervisory or management experience required; leading a quality team preferred.
  • Experience with the Plan-Do-Act-Check (PDAC) cycle of change management.
  • Statistical and root cause analyses experience, including statistical process control (SPC).
