About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at BorgWarner. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling new and/or replacement parts by operating intermediate machines and equipment to assemble complete units or complex subassemblies from blueprints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and operate production equipment independently, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any deviations or quality defects.
  • Ensure compliance with production parameters and maintain equipment, work area, and facility according to 5s standards.
  • Provide general support within production processes, including loading and unloading machines using proper handling equipment.
  • Operate equipment to highest production and quality standards, maintaining all fluid levels and reporting malfunctions and safety issues to supervisor or maintenance.
  • Maintain quality standards by following proper inspection procedures and understanding and adhering to current quality and control policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
  • Detail-oriented and consistent, with ability to work on a team and independently.
  • Manual skills and ability to follow instructions, safety rules, and regulations.
  • Basic shop math required (decimals, addition, subtraction, fractions).
  • Ability to learn how to read basic blueprints.
