About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Operator to join our team at BorgWarner. As an Assembly Operator, you will be responsible for assembling new and/or replacement parts by operating intermediate machines and equipment to assemble complete units or complex subassemblies from blueprints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and operate production equipment independently, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any deviations or quality defects.
  • Check equipment for compliance with production parameters and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform general support within the production processes, including loading and unloading machines using proper handling equipment.
  • Operate equipment to the highest production and quality standards, maintaining all fluid levels and reporting malfunctions and safety issues to the supervisor or maintenance team.
  • Maintain quality standards by following proper inspection procedures and adhering to current quality and control policies.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Detail-oriented and consistent, with the ability to work on a team and independently.
  • Interest in electrical engineering processes and general experience in production processes.
  • Manual Assembly Skills, hands-on laborer using tools and mechanical knowledge.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions, safety rules, and regulations.
  • Basic shop math required (decimals, addition, subtraction, fractions).
  • Ability to learn how to read basic blueprints.
