About the Role

The Quality Assurance Manager is a key member of the Compliance and Quality Assurance team at Counseling4Kids, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance in our mental health services. This role requires a strong background in clinical documentation, quality improvement, and compliance with government regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the agency's Utilization Review program, including chart reviews and procedural changes.
  • Provide coaching and support to direct reports, including weekly supervision and performance evaluations.
  • Support the Director of Compliance in overseeing the agency's Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement program.
  • Mentor and support Quality Improvement Coordinators in orientation and ongoing training of new clinical staff.
  • Complete clinical reviews of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes for timeliness, quality, and compliance.
  • Ensure diagnostic criteria in Assessments is met to support diagnosis and client Treatment Plans.
  • Monitor justification of time billed as evidenced by documentation of interventions.
  • Assist with preparing for State Audit Reviews and LA County DMH Program Reviews.
  • Audit documentation to ensure program compliance with government contract requirements, DMH standards, and agency requirements.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field.
  • Current Registration with California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT.
  • Experience providing mental health services requiring diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, and crisis intervention.
  • Familiarity with current LA County DMH documentation and Medi-Cal procedures.
  • Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and SED children.
  • Ability to provide feedback in a concise, clear, and professional manner.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, computer, and communication skills.
