RCG Technical Project Manager

Join RCG Global Services as a Technical Project Manager in our Glendale, CA office. This hybrid role involves managing resource assignment, budget, scheduling, and scope prioritization through project plans and JIRA dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Execution: Manage resource assignment, budget, scheduling, and scope prioritization through project plans and JIRA dashboards.
  • Trade-Off Management: Work through trade-offs when there are competing business demands.
  • Communication and Liaison: Act as Production single-point-of-contact and serve as primary liaison between Product Management, Creative Development, Technology, 3rd party vendors, and offshore partners.
  • Team Collaboration: Manage and work with cross-discipline team members to validate project assumptions and review individual project plans with senior leadership.
  • Project Monitoring and Control: Insure all projects within the channel are staying on schedule and budget.
  • Issue Escalation: Act as primary escalation path for any production-related issues for assigned projects.
  • Project Delivery: Responsible for leading projects to on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate execution of the project across the Creative Development and Production, Technology, and Business Development teams.
  • Scope Management: Document the scope of work with help from cross-discipline functional leads.
  • Scope Validation: Validate that scope can be completed within the timeline and budget.
  • Project Scheduling: Develop the project plan and schedule with cross-discipline functional leads.
  • Project Risk Management: Ensure every necessary step to complete the project is accounted for in the project plan.
  • Deliverable Forecasting: Clearly organize and forecast deliverables and dependencies.
  • Proactive Scheduling: Ensure proactive scheduling of all aspects of the project delivery.
  • Project Lifecycle Management: Manage the full lifecycle of projects from requirements through launch and project close.
  • Estimation and Planning: Lead and manage estimation sessions with help from functional leads.
  • Task Management: Manage day-to-day tasks of US-based and offshore teams and have in-depth involvement to allow for early identification of potential risks and issues in order to proactively mitigate impacts.
  • Change Management: Manage project scope and execute internal and client change controls when additional requests for features or functionality are made.
  • Change Request Review: Review internal change control requests and provide recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Executive Escalation: Escalate situations that may require Executive intervention.
  • Quality Assurance: Manage project risks, issues, and next steps to ensure quality delivery.
  • Quality Metrics: Maintain project quality ensuring quality metrics are within thresholds.
  • Project Deliverables: Ensure on-time project deliverables submission internally and to the client.
  • Client Sign-Off: Responsible for obtaining client sign-off for all project deliverables.
  • Project Reporting: Provide weekly status reports and regular updates to internal and client leadership.
  • Leadership and Motivation: Confidently lead, motivate, influence, and drive progress.
  • Collaboration and Productivity: Work both collaboratively and independently while maintaining a high level of productivity.
  • Adaptability and Pressure Management: Must be able to work under tight timetables, evolving processes, and pressure situations.
  • Project Management Tools: Project Management tool experience – MS Project, JIRA, etc.
  • Custom Development Experience: Preferably has experience in managing custom development projects using Flutter, Angular, and Java technologies.
  • Offshore Team Management: Must have experience managing offshore teams and 3rd party vendors.
