Position: Security Analyst II

Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)

Compensation: $110,000 to $120,000 annually

Experience Required:

  • 4 to 6+ years of experience managing various security solutions in a live environment
  • 4 to 6+ years of experience in network management, ideally with Cisco technologies
  • Proficient in administering Carbon Black solutions
  • Experience with the management of multiple operating systems, including Windows Server and Linux

Educational Qualifications:

  • Possession of a security certification such as Global Security Essentials Certification (GIAC-GSEC), Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is mandatory
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Employment Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

About Greene Resources: We are in search of a Security Analyst II to become part of our expanding and innovative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Information Security Officer in safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational systems
  • Manage various security devices, maintain security documentation, ensure systems are secured and updated, and monitor security controls
  • Implement approved modifications to security systems
  • Assist in the management of firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, VPNs, authentication systems, and endpoint security
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and adhere to Configuration Control protocols
  • Review logs for security incidents, including intrusions, malware, and other harmful activities
  • Investigate and resolve security incidents, preparing Incident Reports as necessary
  • Configure and oversee security systems such as IDS, IPS, SIEM, and VPN
  • Stay informed on new vulnerabilities/patches, notifying the Security Team as required and assisting with system security
  • Contribute to the development and execution of application security testing strategies for new and updated software

Position Requirements:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey technical information in a clear and understandable manner
  • Capability to read, analyze, and interpret a wide range of technical instructions and manuals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to identify issues, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • High degree of initiative, effort, and commitment
  • Project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and complete projects
  • Commitment to high ethical standards, including honesty and integrity
