Job Title: Behavioral Health Docket Coordinator

Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Docket Coordinator to support individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI). As a key member of our team, you will supervise a dedicated team of Behavioral Health Docket Case Managers and Therapists, providing crucial counseling services and conducting assessments, therapy sessions, and managing daily client services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Behavioral Health Docket Case Managers and Therapists
  • Conduct assessments, therapy sessions, and manage daily client services
  • Attend weekly court status hearings and prepare written reports
  • Advocate for participants within the criminal justice system and treatment community

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in a Human Services field (such as Psychology, Counseling, and Social Work)
  • Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, including therapeutic counseling, crisis intervention, and case management
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software and tools
  • Registered with the Board of Counseling to practice as a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Adult (QMHP-A)
