Intensive Care Unit Team Coordinator

As a Team Coordinator, Patient Care Services RN in the Intensive Care Unit at Sentara CarePlex Hospital, you will be responsible for assisting the manager in the daily operations of the clinical area. This includes supervising patient care services staff to ensure patient safety and providing high-quality outcomes. You will also assist with interviewing, hiring, developing, and retaining staff members, as well as coordinating the purchasing and payroll processes. Additionally, you will serve as a technical and clinical resource to team members and perform work assignments as needed to provide appropriate coverage and mentor staff.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise patient care services staff to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, developing, and retaining staff members.
- Coordinate the purchasing and payroll processes.
- Serve as a technical and clinical resource to team members.
- Perform work assignments as needed to provide appropriate coverage and mentor staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- At least 2 years of nursing experience.
- Previous experience in nursing leadership.
