**Field Service Engineer**

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at ViscoTec America, Inc. in Kennesaw, GA.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background, with a minimum of 2 to 4 years' experience in the industrial automation industry.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Onsite equipment commissioning and technical support for North America
  • Provide technical support through multiple communication mediums with a focus on remediating customer inquiries
  • Carry out customer product testing and POCs
  • Equipment repairs and assembly
  • Prepare technical documentation (ex. testing results, RGA management, equipment builds and field service documents)
  • Assist with on-site testing, documentation, and customer hosting
  • Perform technical training sessions at customer sites
  • Perform electrical work on Siemens and Allen-Bradley based control systems
  • Collaborate with colleagues at our German headquarters to resolve technical issues

**Requirements:**

Education requirements: Associate degree or higher in a technical field or engineering.

  • Enjoys customer facing interactions, but also on the phone and through email
  • Have an aptitude for attention to detail and very hands on
  • Is highly organized with the ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • A resourceful self-starter initiates work without specific instruction
  • Business growth enabler and Brand focused
  • SolidWorks/CAD experience a plus
  • Flexible and works professionally
  • Ability to work in the field 50% when not in local office

**Location:** Main Office in Kennesaw, GA

**Work Schedule:** The position involves a standard 40-hour workweek, with direction provided by the Director of the Technical Department. The role will require travel for training, installations, sales support, and project work.
