Job Summary

Under the direction of the medical staff, the Pediatrician will provide high-quality medical care to patients at the Hayward Wellness Center, part of Alameda Health System. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering compassionate, culturally competent, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Care for patients in a compassionate and patient-centered manner
  • Participate in the supervision of Mid-level Practitioners/Certified Nurse Midwives in assigned clinical areas
  • Practice evidence-based medicine and stay up-to-date with current standards of care
  • Provide cost-effective care and manage time and patient flow effectively
  • Stay current with patient care responsibilities, including lab results, medication refills, and radiology reports
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical team to improve quality of care and service delivery
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved residency in pediatrics
  • Valid license to practice medicine in the state of California
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in pediatrics
  • CPI-Crisis Prevention Intervention Training
  • Basic Life Support Certification issued by the American Heart Association or PALS or ACLS
