Job Overview

Spirent is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in Northern California. As a key member of our support services team, you will be responsible for delivering onsite technical service and support for our customers in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for customers in the Northern California area
  • Work closely with the Spirent Support Services and Sales teams to ensure seamless implementation and deployment of Spirent solutions
  • Deliver customer installation and training, and promote and educate customers on Spirent support processes and SLAs
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including sales, customer, technical peers, and management, to ensure timely resolution of technical product issues
  • Respond to customer inquiries via telephone, online networks, and email, and provide proactive follow-up to ensure fixes are received and tested by customers
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 1 year of experience in job offered or related occupation
  • 1 year of experience in the following skillsets: TCP/IP protocol stack and call flow analysis, telecom/networking test equipment, and at least 2 of the following technologies: Cybersecurity, SD-WAN, MPLS, Routing, Switching protocols, Virtualization, Hypervisors, public Cloud, Network/Security certifications, security device knowledge, IP and ethernet technologies, 3GPP and 3GPP2 standards, 4G RAN, 4G Core, 5G RAN, 5G Core, Open RAN, Network Slicing, IMS, X-CSCF, PCRF, HSS, AAA, SGSN, GGSN, MME, SGW, PGW, DRA, WiFi-Offload, Home Agent, WAP Gateway, DPI solutions, and billing systems
