Psychiatrist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at Family Care Center. As a Psychiatrist, you will provide high-quality mental health care to our patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with psychiatric conditions.
  • Provide psychotherapy and medication management as needed to identify, diagnose, and treat patients under your care.
  • Collaborate with therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Initiate and manage psychopharmacologic treatments, order and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic test results.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals when hospitalization is required and provide psychoeducation to patients and families when clinically appropriate.
Requirements:
  • MD or DO required.
  • ACGME-accredited residency training program in psychiatry preferred.
  • Current medical license in the state of practice.
  • Current and unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration in the state of practice.
  • Certification from the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS).
