Rutland Regional Medical Center seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a critical role in preparing patients for encounters, assisting clinicians in delivering care, and maintaining examination rooms and equipment at an outpatient care site.

Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of practice providers or nursing staff, perform clinical duties to prepare patients for encounters.
  • Assist clinicians in delivering care, including taking vital signs, performing venipuncture, and administering medications under the supervision of licensed personnel.
  • Maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies at an outpatient care site.
  • Perform clerical and scheduling duties, including responding to patient inquiries and updating records.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required; Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • 1-2 years of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in a physician practice or outpatient clinic setting.
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association required.
  • Nationally accredited Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA) or Vermont State LNA license preferred.
